are resolved. justice has been served. >> our producer inside the courtroom said major hassan gave no reaction when the jury sentenced him today. casey siegel live at fort hood. casey, were there tears inside the courtroom today? >> yeah, harris, there were a few. not from hassan clearly, but rather from some of the family members of victims, victims of the 13 who were killed here on this day, november day, back in 2009. today was really about them, if you think about it. it was finally getting some closure nearly four years later. people like the mother of specialist jason hunt. he was just 22 years old, had been married only 2 1/2 months until nidal hasan walked into that packed medical processing building and gunned him down. >> anyone who would use their religion to commit acts of terrorism serves no god except their own hatred and self-interest. nidal hasan is a coward and an unrepentant murderer. >> now in the coming days, hassan will be transported to military death row located at fort leavenworth in kansas. the 42-year-old will be dismissed from the military, his pay stops immediately.
